Dear Friend, Do you work with or have a heart for an organization for at-risk youth? (late teens-early 20s) Then I wondered if you could help me out? Polaris Media Group is dedicated to providing a continuous outflow of positive media into the world--documentaries and educational programs to teach people to believe in themselves, step outside of the negativity that is bombarding them every day, and take action to achieve what really makes their heart sing. Our Know For Yourself DVD profiles the stories of dozens of successful, everyday (as in, not necessarily famous) people such as a musician, an Olympic athlete, a magician, an eco-warrior, and more, and teaches what qualities brought them success--things like focus, determination, perseverance, etc. It is the first step in helping people follow their own inner voice, rather than that of their naysaying friends and relatives--hence, "know for yourself." I am on a mission to get this DVD into the hands of at risk young people: the ones who need a step up the ones who need guidance and support and drive the ones who know they want something better for their lives but don't know what to do or how to get there. The DVD comes with continuing online education, as well as a free gift (a ring valued at $180) upon "graduation" of the course. (Once someone has completed this first course, they have the option of continuing their personal development by working through a series of additional courses--but that's a story for another time.) I have lots of ideas for how to accomplish this, including: contacting non-profits who work with these types of kids/young adults and securing grants to get them to the kids setting up a donor/match program so an individual could sponsor someone working with guidance counselors to get the DVD into the school system and more But I can't do it alone.
